This page is to help new ones in Christ to distinguish between the actual Word of God and the helps that might be added to the text. The disciple will have the real written Word of God provided they are using a trustworthy version of the Holy Bible.

First, here is an image of a Scofield Study Bible covering 1 Peter 4:19 to 5:14. I added notations to help some to understand what they might encounter in regard to helps in a Holy Bible. The next image, below the horizontal line, will show that actual Word of God translated into English. They will see that chapter numbers, verse numbers, and other items are not part of the Word of God.

The image to the right shows the above Holy Bible passage with all of its helps removed. This is the actual text translated into English from the selected Greek manuscripts. It is most important to see that chapter divisions and verse numbers are not in the ancient manuscripts. Chapter and verse numbers were added only as a guide in locating a desired portion of Holy Scripture. There are times chapter and verse numbers are actually a hindrance in getting the meaning of a passage.
