Indeed, either in the Lake of Fire of Brimstone or with Christ, our spirits will go on forever. However, for now our spirit resides in our body. Often, what affects our spirit affects our body, and what affects our body affects our spirit.

I fully believe in the healing power of God, but I also know that the Holy Bible directs us to take care of our body.

In his loving wisdom, God provided the nutrients we need in our natural foods. However, when Adam sinned the ground was cursed. Closer to our time, man has thought he can improve upon the provision of God by refining the foods we eat and adding chemically engineered nutrients into our food. Along with this, and adding to the curse, man has polluted the earth and, in many cases, has diminished the nutrients in the soil.

Before I became a born-again Christian, I was very scientifically minded. At the age of five I aspired to be a great chemist. Along with this is the fact that the realm of medicine had made great strides when I was boy. When it came to nutrition, I faithfully took my chemically engineered single vitamin pill each day.

I became a born-again Christian in 1970. In Bible institute I met Dorcas. She took vitamins too, but partially natural vitamins. She did not take one pill, but a number of pills at the same time. After looking into the matter, I tried some and felt a difference. I became convinced there was a definite benefit to taking natural, or a least partially natural supplements.

If you do not think that there would be a difference, there is a perfect example in nature of one compound which we know of as sugar. However, God Himself has structured sugar in such a way that it can be found in three forms depending upon how He arranged the molecules. Those three forms are glucose, sucrose, and fructose. They are chemically the same, but different in molecular arrangement. As result, though they are chemically the same, each of those three substances possesses its own distinctiveness.

Sometime in the late 1970's, we were introduced to Shaklee food supplements. The products worked so well, surpassing the partially natural supplements we were taking, we became Shaklee independent distributors.
