While some do not mind winter, and even enjoy it, I prefer spring. If it were permissable, I would like to have it all year.
Aside from the warmer weather, trees, bushes, and fields are bursting with colorful life. A vast number of colors greet the eye, and there are some more on the way as spring progresses.
All of this definitely causes me to think of how much life Christ offers to us. It is phenomenal!
First, there is basic life, in that if we fully commit to Christ, He transfers us from darkness to light, and we live in life and not in death. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." -- John 5:24.
Then there is that newness of life, if we really get saved, born again: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."-- 2 Corinthians 5:17
There is the life of Christ Himself that everyone who names the Name of Christ should walk in: "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." -- Romans 6:4.
And, in contrast to the world, that offers no real hope, there is sureness of hope in Christ: "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable." -- 1 Corinthians 15:19.
And, there is more, much more. However, a reward for committing to, and remaining in, the life of Christ, there is Eternal life. "That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." -- Romans 5:21.
All of these are great reasons to place our faith completely in Jesus Christ. If you have not already done so, ask God to forgive you of your sins, cleanse you, and fully commit to Jesus Christ, making Him King of your life. In so doing, you will enjoy His abundant life, and your soul will be colorfully ablaze with His presence.
"O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates and thy gates of rubies, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD, and great shall be the peace of thy children." --- Isaiah 54:11-13
