On Tuesday, September 8, 2009 I uploaded to my Sapphire Streams web site the Bible GemLight for that week, Distracted in School Zones. Everything looked fine, so I moved on to some other work.
On Wednesdays I usually update that web site with what I call the Article of the Week. However, when I tried to do so, that Wednesday I could not log in.
I then checked the front page of the site and everything had reverted to what it looked like at the end of August. Something was wrong, so I contacted the man with whom I share the hosting server with. The following was his reply in part:
"We did have a hacker attack Tuesday affecting all sites on the server. We had to totally rebuild the server, and had to use a backup from the end of August. ...Hackers were from Turkey, some Muslim group that says they will hack all websites until we pull out of Iraq..."
In the process of attacking that server, the hacker temporarily disrupted www.showgodslove.org, a web site that seeks sponsorship for needy children in various parts of the world.
Of course, the hacking was something very minor compared with the physical attacks humans levy against each other around the world, regardless of the cause. There are wars, persecutions, home invasions, and the list can go on. And man's "inhumanity to man" will continue until a certain day comes.
Current events continue to line up to that certain day, the return of Christ. Revelation 19 and other Holy Scriptures are clear that He will return at Armageddon. Once He deals with the Antichrist, the False Prophet, and the enemies of the Jews, there will be a mighty spiritual awakening in Israel. Our friends, the Jews, will commit themselves to the Christ Whom their ancestors rejected nearly two millenia ago, weeping as for an only son, which, of course, He is.
Christ will be physically present, established as King of the world. Then shall the Scripture be fulfilled (Isaiah 9:7), "Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever."
Whether this happens in your lifetime, or if it tarries another thousand years, you can have a bit of that peace now, by personally committing to Christ, the Prince of Peace, making Him your King.
"O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors and lay thy foundations with sapphires. And I will make thy windows of agates and thy gates of rubies, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD, and great shall be the peace of thy children." --- Isaiah 54:11-13
