Perpendicular Truth is where we find two conditions in the Holy Bible that appear to be opposed to each other but both are true in their Biblical foundation and application. The supposed opposition is not reconciled by balance, but it is reconciled by the written Word of God. The application of the truths are empowered and directed by the Holy Spirit with Christ dwelling within.
Some examples include Christians having both joy and sorrow; that they are situated in the world yet separated from the world; and that they are to both love and hate.
